Susan Isabel Leggett Cottrell

August 2, 1953 - June 15, 2025

 

"Sousin" Isabel Leggett Cottrell has gone to join our Lord. Most recently she has battled a failed liver and kidney. The doctors at Duke did all in their power to do. Our Lord decided to end her pain and bring her home.Sousin was pre-deceased by her daughter Myria Clark, sister Margaret Irwin Leggett Stoots, brother John Goodridge Leggett, father Noah Hunter Leggett, and mother Isabel Frayser Wilson Leggett.She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kenneth D. Cottrell, Jr. of Clarksville Virginia, Nichole and Keith Noblin, Patrick Cottrell, Davis and Mandi Cottrell, Shawn Cottrell, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, Brother-in-law Ed and nephew Chris Stoots of Roanoke, VA, two additional nephews, Charlie Leggett and Judson Leggett and their families of Atlanta GA, all of her adopted children; Noblin's, Daniels, Hites, Benedick's, Croom's and their families. Brother-in-law Raymond & Vienna Cottrell, Sister-in-law Laurie & Rob Dwulet, Nephews Jeff & Rachel Dwulet, Carter Cottrell, Nieces: Kathleen Dwulet, Tricia & Glenn Doyle, Traci & Glen Strickland, Sarah Cottrell, many cousins, great nieces, great nephews and many loved ones from her various church families.She is and will be missed. A celebration of her life and return home to our Lord will be held at Clarksville Presbyterian Church, 502 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA 23927 on June 21, 2025 at 2 PM. All are welcome to share her celebration. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Clarksville Food Pantry, PO Box 402, Clarksville, VA 23927.
